Weigh in day Sunday, 8/7 weight 281.3

I do not know when was the last time I was here on this blog.  No one reads it so it just a means for me to express me angst with weight loss.

I have not gain any weight since my last post.  I have not lost any weight since my last post.  I am still determined.  My knee is getting much better, i guess following the Dr advice is working out so far.

I completed day 1 of the Billy Bank Boot Camp.  I am not as fast as they are but that will come with time.  Today I will just do my walking for 60 minutes and an abs workout.  I have to do something everyday. 

My goal for this month is to stick with my boot camp and do some type of workout every day.  Some kind of circuit workout the work all the different muscles group each week. 

I really am hoping that by returning to writing this blog I can achieve the lost.  I really need to see that number below 280, because I will feel some greater sense of accomplishment.   

The forward progress will be a great  encouragement for me.  Right now I feel the dark gloom of depression hovering like a rain cloud just waiting to rain feeling of defeat down on me.  Right now I am standing defiant in the face of defeat. “   you will not beat me down! Rain if you must, blow your torrential winds in an effort to know me down.  I will stand firm I will make forward progress”

Week 9 Staying on Course!

On March 21 I started my journey to lose 12 lbs in 6 weeks.  Well If I remember correctly it was more like 18 lbs but Betty as well as other said that I should rethink that and so it became the goal of 12 lbs in 6 weeks. 

On April 22 I had lost 9 of those 12lbs and felt sure that I would make my goal with no problem.  I was so sure I stopped keeping track of what I was doing.  And that was my down fall.  Here it is 9 weeks from the original start day and I have gain 4 lbs ut oh!

Now here is where I should say okay I am starting over but I am not starting over and I am struggling on.  Its week 9 and I have fallen off course but I am dusting myself off and getting it back together.

I was successful earlier because everything as planned out and thought activity and meals out carefully and then I stopped doing that.  So I am getting back to doing what works for me which is planning.

I will do the calorie cycling and getting my exercises done regularly on the Wii and next Month I will join the gym that is down the street from me.  It will work much better for me and when I am angry at the world and I just walk down to the gym and work it off.

And although I should be working toward my 15 lb loss by now I am still working on my 10 lb loss. 

I am proud of a different accomplishment.

 I completed the 5K course for the Race for the Cure! I walked the course.

 I arrived at the place for the race really early and due to lack of communication I did not meet up with Betty.  But I did find my cousins and Wanda almost power walked right by me.  She is a 2 year survivor! Congrats to Wanda .

 I would love to tell you it was a breeze but I was tempted to give up several times because the course was not level and the weather was cold and my knee gave me much trouble.  But I kept walking and listening to people as they walked and talked and read the signs the people proudly wore in celebrate and in memory of.  When I saw the finish line I was happy but not because it was over but because I did not give up.

I do plan to return next year and every year afterwards!  I can accomplish my weight loss goal I just have to stay on course.

Week 5 Thursday!

I am excited! I received my packet for the Race for the cure My number is 16430 I will post pictures sometime tonight if I don’t forget!

In the packet is an invite to create a square for the Warrior Quilt which I will start working on this weekend, A pledge form and a thank you letter explaining the contents of the packet and general information.

Betty, my friend,Domonique, my step daughter, Debbie and Sandra,my cousins will all be there as well.  Wanda has not registered not sure why. My Sisters changed their minds about walking with us but hopefully they will be around to cheer us on. 

Check this out. Yesterday my sweet Todd bought coffee rolls from Dunkin donuts and usually I just make some hot coffee or tea and we eat them.  This time I made him is hot tea and I had my Strawberry Jello fat-free!  I was satisfied with this and he did not eat his donut.   I guess if I don’t join in with his bad eating habits then he is also not interested.

It’s been a while…

It’s been a while since I have posted here. 

I feel terrible because It’s been a while that I have exercised.  I could blame it on my doctor who told me to stop exercising until I came back to see him in April.  But he did not tell me to eat pints of Ice cream, or to eat a box of vanilla wafers or to eat after midnight when I should be sleeping.

So I am getting it together once again.  Tomorrow at 5:45 I will be up at 6:00 I will be exercising  mostly stretches to get my flexibility back. At the end of the day   Goal for this week.  Work out everyday and post after each work out and restart my food diary.

And stick to it.

Weigh in day Monday!

I have been watching what I eat.  Sometime I watch me we what is wrong but I don’t super-size!

Working out regularly.  Trying not be come obssesive.  Friday I received an email from the leader of our weight lost race crew.  Monday is our 6 week weight check. 

So this weekend is my Last Chance workout!  So sometime today I will be getting  new Wii workout game!

I will be ready for the weigh in day!

Forgot to weigh in.

Okay I really did not forget to weigh in on Sunday I was afraid to do so. 

Betty has got a definite direction , set realistic goal and has gotten the support from her spouse to help her along. 

I guess I am not using the flowers energy correctly. 

So here is my mission

1) to get rid of the weight that makes me unhealthy

2) to lose 25 lbs by April 11 - There is a soul Food jazz party that day. 

3) to workout with my Firm video and Walking with George DVD. Alternating but working out each day.  total of 17 workouts for each of the two workouts.

Monday at 10:00pm is the weigh in day from this point to goal.

Cheer me on I will post each day.
